The first night
So dinner went pretty well. She ate like Larry. Everything and anything you put in front of her. She was eating by herself so well. Rice, chicken, mushrooms, bread, pudding, fish, greenbeans, watermelon, grapes. She ate more than me. She loved her sippy cup with water in it. I really would have to guess she ate 300-400 kcals at the sitting and then we came back and she took an 8 oz bottle. We bathed her tonight. She wasn't into that. I had to get in the tub to get the job done. She even peed on Larry. That was pretty funny! SHE Broke us in good tonight..... :) She definately has a mind of her own and if she doesn't like what you are doing she gives you this big scowel. She is walking. She's not just toddling. So "i told you so" to all those people who told me not to put the plugs in the sockets and the locks on the cupboards. Trust me we are going to need it. Mother's intuition i guess....
After the bottle we rocked. Larry and I snuggled in around her. She pushed herself away when she was tired and then fell fast asleep in between us on the bed. I let her sleep awhile and then transferred her to the crib. She loves the Panda the agency sent for her. Really clings to it. It's almost as big as she is. She did great. It is 8:30pm here and her care giver told us she will sleep til 7am or so. We'll see. We are all a little new at this.
She is itty bitty. She is at least 3 pounds lighter than Jaxson and MUCH MUCH smaller than Meagan. I would almost venture she is more on the lines of Colin. Maybe 15 pounds at most. She could probably wear 3-9 month clothes. Her 9-12 's are a bit big on her. Oh well. If she keeps eating like tonight. Watch out. She'll catch with big larry. For being small she is very well developed. Good social skills. At least 14 teeth. She is probably speaking but WE don't understand.
What a great day though. It was quite the journey of time, emotions and distance to get here. Wouldn't change a thing. She is the answer to our prayers.
Love ya....Kindi and Larry
